This year, we published and paid more writers than ever before, featured over 200 artists across our platforms, launched Boston Art Radar, introduced the Civic Culture Desk with support from Barr Foundation, deepened our work with the City of Boston’s Un-Monument initiative and the Boston Public Art Triennial, and continued mentoring the next generation of art writers through our Art Writing Fellowship program in partnership with Praise Shadows.
Behind the scenes, we strengthened the systems and team needed to sustain this work at scale, honoring the fact that independent publishing needs more than just passion, it requires infrastructure.
